Discover Cape Town, South Africa with the family! There’s plenty of sights to see, so you will never be bored!

The kids will delight in a visit to beautiful Boulders Beach. With a rather large population of Africa Penguins, this beach is unlike any other! Still want to see more wildlife? Take a trip to the Two Oceans Aquarium. The underwater world comes to life here, with more than 3,000 animals. You can even go diving with the sharks! In the mood to explore the outdoors? Ride on the Table Mountain Cableway, or go hiking on one of the many Table Mountain trails!

RealTraveler Karen Watkins shares her hike on Table Mountain:

“All too soon we reached the summit and the decision was made to continue to Stonehenge. While the adults found the easier routes the children were hooked and looked for difficult rock scrambles, most showing their expertise while adults bit their tongues and tried not to watch. Soon we were there and the tortoise was the object to conquer and, after sustenance, this was overcome by Talitha showing her strength and agility with years of gymnastics. Of course the boys couldn’t be outdone and even one of the parents!

After a group picture we continued to the “helicopter pad” and the descent to Bertie’s Balcony. By this stage the kids had adventure overload and wanted to finish the hike. After a further descent and then the long boring section along the road we finished at about 3pm, after six hours of adventure” (more…)

Bring the family to Barcelona, Spain! Overflowing with culture, this modern city is sure to delight!

One of the best ways to get a feel for Barcelona is to hop on the Barcelona Bus Turístic. With three different routes, this bus takes you all over the city and makes several stops at the main tourist destinations! Be sure to take the kids to Parc Güell. Located on Carmel Hill, Parc Güell is one of Gaudí’s famous works. With extremely unique and colorful architecture, this park will leave the kids amazed! If you take interest in Gaudí’s style, check out Sagrada Familia, or The Temple of the Holy Family. Still a work-in-progress, this Temple has three epic facades and draws visitors from all over the world. You might even enjoy biking along the ocean or exploring the famed street La Rambla. Filled with souvenir stores, crafty vendors, and delightful street entertainers, your kids will be more than amused!

RealTraveler Localkineguy shares:

“We stumbled upon Las Ramblas of the city and walked through to see many vendors selling all kinds of things from birds, rabbits, flowers, and food. There were many impressive street performers dressed in old Romanic style of Greek and Spartan soldiers…We took the tube to Sagrada Familia where a cathedral, in the style of Gaudi, is currently being constructed and revamped. It has been taking them so many years (I believe over 100) to do what they have done so far. It is magnificent to look at once you get used to the cranes and scaffolds everywhere. It´s colorful and curvy, just like the other buildings, which is odd to see on a cathedral. They were closing down for the day so we didn´t get to climb any of the spires or see the interior, but the exterior was magnificent on its own anyway. I´m not sure I like the colors but it´s good to see the old blending in with the new” (more…)
