Bring the family to Barcelona, Spain! Overflowing with culture, this modern city is sure to delight!

One of the best ways to get a feel for Barcelona is to hop on the Barcelona Bus Turístic. With three different routes, this bus takes you all over the city and makes several stops at the main tourist destinations! Be sure to take the kids to Parc Güell. Located on Carmel Hill, Parc Güell is one of Gaudí’s famous works. With extremely unique and colorful architecture, this park will leave the kids amazed! If you take interest in Gaudí’s style, check out Sagrada Familia, or The Temple of the Holy Family. Still a work-in-progress, this Temple has three epic facades and draws visitors from all over the world. You might even enjoy biking along the ocean or exploring the famed street La Rambla. Filled with souvenir stores, crafty vendors, and delightful street entertainers, your kids will be more than amused!

RealTraveler Localkineguy shares:

“We stumbled upon Las Ramblas of the city and walked through to see many vendors selling all kinds of things from birds, rabbits, flowers, and food. There were many impressive street performers dressed in old Romanic style of Greek and Spartan soldiers…We took the tube to Sagrada Familia where a cathedral, in the style of Gaudi, is currently being constructed and revamped. It has been taking them so many years (I believe over 100) to do what they have done so far. It is magnificent to look at once you get used to the cranes and scaffolds everywhere. It´s colorful and curvy, just like the other buildings, which is odd to see on a cathedral. They were closing down for the day so we didn´t get to climb any of the spires or see the interior, but the exterior was magnificent on its own anyway. I´m not sure I like the colors but it´s good to see the old blending in with the new” (more…)

Take the kids for a picnic at Cocoa Beach and splash around in the waves! Orlando is full of excitement for everyone—the kids will have a blast!

RealTravel author Traveling Kings shares:

“The centerpiece of a visit to KSC would be their Bus Tour. The bus drivers are great tour guides, and explain what you are seeing, as they drive you to two different sites at the Space Center. The buses were great, and had multiple televisions, which broadcast a show about KSC. Our first visit was to a building which had lots of great props and relics of the Apollo flights. There was a full size Saturn rocket laying lengthwise in this building. This is a huge rocket. If I remember correctly, it is about 340 feet long. It was the keystone to our manned flights to the moon. We spent A LOT of time at this tour stop, and we finally had to tear ourselves away, even thought we left quite a bit behind without seeing it.

On the way to this first stop, we drove past the MASSIVE Vehicle Assembly Building. This is the building where they prepare the Space Shuttles for launch. The inside of this building is cavernous, to the extent that it has a special ventilation system in place, otherwise clouds could form within the building, and there could even be rain. That’s a BIG building!” (more…)
