A Drive Up the Mendocino Coast

written by Alex Muramoto

During the winter the Mendocino Coast is covered most of the time in either fog or clouds, putting it low on most people’s list of places to see, but in the springtime it becomes one of the most scenic places in the state. So now is the perfect time to take a drive to the northern coast, a far less traveled destination than many of California’s other popular tourist regions like Yosemite, which means visiting can be more inexpensive and definitely less crowded. So whether you’re into hiking, sunny beaches, or just the fresh ocean air, check out the Mendocino Coast, it’s a gem that many miss but everyone should experience.
