Mexico Hotel and Vacation Ideas

written by Jenica Szymanski

Looking for the ultimate relaxing, hassle-free getaway? All inclusive vacations are one way to go - you’ll have less planning to worry about, and you can save a bit of money. Your biggest concerns will be “should I go to the pool then the beach, or the beach then the pool?” Sometimes followed by, “is it too early for drinks?” These are not bad concerns to have, especially after a hectic work schedule.

Mexico is a popular destination for relaxing getaways, especially the popular resort areas in Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. If you get tired of laying about on the beach, there are plenty of things to do, including water sports, nightlife and day trips to temples and neighboring islands. You will also enjoy shopping at local markets, visiting old town squares and of course, fresh seafood and tacos galore.

Cancun hotels range from budget hotels to luxury high rises. Located nearby is the Isla Mujeres, an island that is popular for daytrips but also has hotels for those seeking to escape busy Cancun. Here’s a taste of what to expect from RealTravelers Leigh & Jo:

“The boat ride was 20mins across the most beautiful turquoise water you will ever see. We looked out across the Yucatan peninsula and the massive strip of hotels along Cancun’s hotel district. It was an impressive sight in comparison to the tiny island of Isla Mujeres. We arrived into the main port and after a few minutes of being disorientated we made the short walk towards our hotel in the extremely hot temperatures of the Caribbean. We passed by the usual hoard of island markets and shop keepers trying their best to sell us everything from sunglasses to the “finest” china in town. We arrived out our hotel and were all stoked to have such a nice place. The service was very welcoming with beautiful clean rooms and excellent air conditioning to the delight of Leigh and Riff.” (more…)
