The Mighty Falls by Carl and Andre

You can easily get two different views of the spectacular Puerto Iguazu falls by traveling over the border of Argentina to Brazil (or the other way around). Carl and Andrea recently visited this natural wonder, and shared their experiences in viewing both sides of the falls:

“We started on the Argentinian side of the falls, which lie on the border of Argentina and Brazil, where most of the falls are. There are walkways across the top of the falls, and the view and the noise was great. We went on a boat that went into the spray of one of the waterfalls, and got wet. And finished the day over the largest fall, the devil’s throat, where the mass of water moving past us was just. Well. A lot.

The next day we went to the Brazilian side to have a look, and you get a view of all the falls together. Far more picturesque, but you don’t get the same sense of power and magesty as on the other side.” (more…)

Coromandel Peninsula by ClanWilliams

If you’re wondering what it would be like to travel in New Zealand with your family, follow ClanWilliams as they travel in a “cozy campervan” for a month. From Hammer Springs to Auckland, national parks to natural wonders, this family has had quite the adventure.

Here’s an excerpt from their journal entry, Coromandel Peninsula, describing their impressions of this beautiful location:

“The eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula is full of secluded white sandy beaches, turquoise waters contrasted with the red flowers of the Pohutakawa Trees which grow all over the area, it makes for some amazing contrasting colours.” (more…)

They also enjoyed horseback riding nearby:

“We also managed to go horse riding in the hills in Coroglen, on a farm owned by a lovely couple, Tess and Nick, who took us round. Megan was quite cautious at first. Luca got on his pony like he’d been born to ride. In the end they both absolutely loved it, and so did Evan and I.

Today we drove a pretty big distance round the Peninsula and past Auckland towards Northland where we will spend the last 3 nights of our trip. I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. We are very glad that we have spent 4 weeks and no less doing this journey and still we have left things out that we simply didn’t have time for. This country is breathtakingly beautiful. I only hope that in time we can forge a strong enough connection and set some roots to help us feel less like tourists and more like we belong. ” (more…)
