Cambodia - second stop, Siem Reap by Shawn&Kim

Located near the city of Siem Reap, Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site like none other. RealTravelers, Shawn&Kim recently visited the site and shared their amazing experience:

“The Temples of Angkor form the largest religious site in the world and they are very inspiring indeed. The first temple we visited in Ankor Thom is adorned with dozens of faces carved out of the rocks. There weren’t many people around and with so many nooks and crannies to climb in or behind, you often find yourself alone with your jaw hitting the floor. How people built these so many centuries ago I’ll never fully comprehend.” (more…)

Off to Berlin! by Nicolle

Off on a tour of Europe and Egypt, Nicolle visited the vibrant and lively city of Berlin, a destination marked by history and change. Aside from seeing one of the longest, still standing sections of the Berlin wall, Nicolle visited the Reichstag, a building that houses the German Parliment, also known as the Bundestag. With no lack of historical sites, and even an exciting soccer match to attend, Berlin provided plenty to see and do:

“I took in quite a few sights in Berlin - including the famous Checkpoint Charlie Museum (had stories of people that escaped from East Berlin to West Berlin, as well as various contraptions they used!). I had a walking tour where we walked through the famous Brandenburg Gate and by the Reichstag (Germany’s Parliament), as well as by a new Jewish memorial and where Hitler’s bunker was. I also had a chance to check out the remaining part of the Berlin Wall as there is very little still standing.” (more…)

Visit Nicolle’s travel blog for her exciting, whirl wind tour through Europe.
