We Have Arrived! by MichaudsInParis

Romantic Paris - a great place to spend a wedding anniversary amongst the charming resturants and cafes, inspiring art museums, and enchanting streets. Even getting lost can be a romantic adventure.

For ideas on how to plan your own getaway to Paris, follow MichaudsInParis as they travel to the city of light to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They share great ideas including taking a dinner cruise, open air bus tours, fantastic resturants to visit and great descriptions of the Lourve.

Here’s a great description of their romantic dinner cruise, from Dinner Cruise on the Seine:

“After a rainy, gray day of walking and open air bus touring, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful evening sunshine and arrived early for our cruise. We were amazed by the beauty of the ship. Even the dockside reception area was appointed much like the lobby of a fine hotel. I’m so glad we arranged for the Premier Service which includes private seating up front with your own host/hostess to point out special landmarks and ensure every one of your needs are being met.

Once we boarded onto the ship and brought to the very front with our own little table for two, we were offered a champagne appertif to tickle our palates while we perused the menu. (more…)

For more about their cruise and their entire week in Paris (including a fun description of the door knockers of Paris), visit: And we’re off.

From Splurge! by Meags & Jen

This photo was taken from a boat traveling along the riverbanks in Kuala Selangor where Meags & Jen went looking for fireflies. This is apparently a very special place to see fireflies, as Meags and Jen explain in their journal, Splurge!:

“There are only 2 places in the world where you can see fireflies like these. The first is the banks of the Amazon River, and the second is the Mangrove trees in Selangor. We took a fantastic boat tour to see thousands of these fireflies covering the trees along the banks - there were so many it looked like flashing Christmas lights!” (more…)
