Marvelous Mendoza by Kate

Known for great hiking, wine and spectacular scenery, Mendoza is a great destination to visit in Argentina. Kate, a RealTravler currently studying in Buenos Aires, took a weekend trip to Mendoza and had quite an adventure:

“The next day we went trekking in the Andes. What amazing views! The hike was a little more rustic that I was expecting and that made it all the better. I loved jumping across mountain springs and climbing up boulders. I think I could get used to doing that more often, I felt quite adventurous. I felt even more adventurous when I rappelled down the face of a cliff right next to a waterfall. I was picked to go first and I was so scared to back off that rock. But, after the initial fear it was so amazing and picturesque, I’d do that again 100 times if I could.” (more…)

“Boston far exceeded my expectations, well actually I didn’t really have any as I knew very little about the place but we couldn’t have hoped for a better destination to start in. The most striking thing initially is how big everything is. The skyline is dominated by numerous enormous skyscrapers (small in comparison to NY no doubt) - something you just don’t see in the UK.” (more…)
