Mike E in Bogota

Curious about traveling in Colombia? Mike E has been sharing his adventures in Colombia as part of his exciting trip around the world. In July, he returned to Bogota and although he had traveled there before, he found plenty of wonderful sites to discover:

“First went to the top of Cerro de Monserrate, a hill on the edge of Bogota, to get a view of the city. And then I went to the Colombian National Museum. The museum is located in the cities old prison. They did a really good job remodelling it into a museum. Not only did they have all sorts of artifacts and art from Colombia, but there was an exhibition with a few of Terracotta Warriors on loan from China.” (more…)

Our final hop, skip and jump over to Ko Samui by Nat and Dan

Off on their summer trip to Australia and Thailand, Nat and Dan have been having quite the adventure, from enjoying the lively city life in Bangkok, to exploring the Great Barrier reef, to relaxing on the beaches in Krabi. Then they were off to another beautiful destination in Thailand, Koh Samui. In search of a quiet beach, Nat and Dan spent a few days at Maenam Beach:

“…we had done our research and chose to stay at a hotel away from the two popular beaches: Chaweng and Lamai, and instead based ourselves at Maenam beach in the Coco Palm Resort Hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel (for the price) was absolutely fantastic. We had our own wooden bungalow, about 100m away from the pool and sea. There was a poolside restaurant and bar, and by far enough deckchairs on the beach. So, as is to be expected, the next day we just lounged and enjoyed the very hot sun that had been deprived us in Railay.” (more…)
